For 17 years King's Corner, located on 717 Main Street in beautiful downtown Sistersville, has continued to expand with a reputation of great service in the Ohio Valley region. Delivering furniture as far as Parkersburg and Wheeling, the store boasts low and competitive prices.
Owner Jim King has been in the furniture business since he was a child, working at his parents' furniture stores in Ohio. Now he and his wife, co-owner Mary King, continue that legacy with a friendly service that can't be matched.
Boasting "7,500 square feet of furniture shopping fun," King's Corner offers an entire castle-worth of goods, including recliners, bedding, mattresses and box springs, living room, dining room, and bedroom furniture as well as other furniture-related items, such as sheets, pillow cases, and mattress protectors. In addition to their already large selection, they now stock a variety of lift recliners, which are sure to help the elderly or those with medical conditions feel like royalty. On top of showing one of the largest inventories around, they can also help you find and order what you need from their large selection of catalogs.
There is also more to see at King's Corner than wall-to-wall furniture. As well as knives and other gift items, Jim King has recently added his handmade pendants for necklaces, known as “King’s Blingz”.
For the last 15 years, Jim King has been making handmade marbles and has a large selection of marbles, both hand and machine made. A few years ago, he started dabbling in the art of crafting pendants, and what began as a hobby has now expanded to a large and vibrant display in King's Corner, in Sistersville , as well as many other stores throughout the region.
While much of the glass used for these pendants comes locally from the Paul Wissmach Glass Company in Paden City, WV, some of the glass he uses come from as far away as Italy. Easily recognizable and gaining popularity, his pendants are now being marketed to other stores throughout the state of West Virginia. "People are always excited about finding products made locally," said King of his pendants, most of which are in an affordable price range of $8 - $15.
